WHO WE ARE

The Big Lieutenant is a neighborhood gathering place for a drink, dinner, a game or all of the above.  The 16-seat bar features three TVs for sports-viewing and offers NWA-brewed beers on tap, an array of global spirits & wines by-the-bottle, a craft cocktail program, and canned wine by-the-glass (as good as in a bottle, better for the earth).  The menu features house-made snacks, salads, bowls and sandwiches (crafted by a sandwich-connoisseur for the sandwich-connoisseurs), with dinner entrées coming soon.

 

Helmed by the husband & wife team behind Bar Cleeta on Bentonville Square, Trae & Weisi Basore recognized the need in this micro-community of South Bentonville for an all-purpose restaurant.  Dedicated to Trae's granddaddy who was a (very tall) lieutenant in the Air Force, The Big Lieu is grateful to all first responders and those who have served in the military; we are a place that welcomes all (particularly Hog fans, Pig Sooie).​
